Job Description

As an Environmental Compliance Inspector, you will play a vital role in safeguarding public health by conducting inspections and monitoring compliance with sanitation regulations. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying hazards and educating the community about safe practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspect residential and commercial properties to ensure they meet health standards.
• Prepare reports and documentation for inspection findings and actions taken.
• Participate in community events to promote public health awareness.
• Monitor and evaluate sanitation practices of various stakeholders.
• Liaise with law enforcement on compliance issues when necessary.
• Utilize GIS mapping to assess and track compliance trends.
• Assist in the development of health education materials for distribution.
• Lead training sessions for departmental personnel and community groups.
• Contribute to health policy discussions within the agency.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Environmental Health or relevant field

Experience

• At least 2 years in inspection or compliance roles
