Job Description

As a Cement Mason and Concrete Finisher at Concrete Solutions Pty Ltd, you'll play a vital role in applying finishes to various concrete products, ensuring that every project meets our high standards of quality. You will work both independently and collaboratively with our skilled team to complete projects efficiently and to the satisfaction of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Finish concrete surfaces to meet customer specifications and enhance durability.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on all finished products.
• Operate various finishing equipment safely and effectively.
• Ensure that tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained regularly.
• Work with foremen and project managers to understand project requirements.
• Assist in logistics and the transport of materials to and from job sites.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
• Document work completed in daily logs and reports.
• Foster a team-oriented environment through collaboration and communication.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in concrete finishing.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Furniture Finishing or equivalent
• Trade Qualification in Concrete Finishing preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a similar role

Technical Skills

• High-Gloss Finish Application
• Spray Finishing Techniques

Soft Skills

• Good Judgement
• Ability to Work Under Pressure

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with different materials: Knowledge of how to work effectively with various types of wood and other composites.
• Ability to train others: Experience in mentoring or training junior staff on best practices.
