Job Description

As a German Professor, you will teach the German language and culture at the tertiary level. Your role includes designing innovative curriculum and engaging students with cultural insights that enhance their learning experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the wider academic community through research, publications, and presentations.
• Participate in the governance and administration of the School of Languages and Cultures.
• Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development and assessment.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Implement effective assessment strategies to evaluate student performance.
• Advise students on academic and career pathways.

Requirements

Education

• PhD in related field

Experience

• Experience in supervising research students at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Technical Skills

• Experience with Moodle or Blackboard

Languages

• English: Fluent
• German: Fluent

Advantageous

• Bilingual or multilingual in additional languages: Ability to speak additional languages such as French or Spanish.
• Experience studying or living in Germany: Cultural immersion experience that enhances teaching.
• Experience teaching at a tertiary level: Proven track record of higher education teaching experience.
