Job Description

As a Staff Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI scans and ensuring the highest quality images are captured. You will prepare patients, explain procedures, and collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team to provide exceptional diagnostic services. Your expertise in MRI technology will be essential in delivering optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with patients to schedule MRI appointments effectively.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any adverse reactions or complications promptly.
  • Document all imaging processes and results accurately for quality control.
  • Support the imaging team in maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and improve department performance.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on imaging equipment regularly to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Engage with patients to assess their needs and provide emotional support during procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to integrate imaging services smoothly.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology related to radiologic technology.
  • Provide feedback on equipment performance and assist in coordinating maintenance schedules.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Radiographic Technology or related field
  • Advanced qualifications in MRI preferred
Experience
  • At least 3 years experience in a high-volume healthcare environment
