Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter, Operator, and Tender to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining turret lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and oversee turret lathes to ensure precision manufacturing.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery and output to prevent defects.
• Work with engineering to interpret technical documentation accurately.
• Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the production process.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
• Train and mentor junior operators when required.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Engineering or equivalent qualification

Experience

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Vertical and Horizontal Turret Lathes: Experience operating both vertical and horizontal turret lathes for varied production needs.
