Operating Engineers and Other Construction Equipment Operators

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Operating Engineer to oversee the operation of hoisting equipment, including cranes and other lifting machinery. The ideal candidate will be passionate about safety, detail-oriented, and capable of training junior operators.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
• Work closely with site managers to facilitate smooth operations.
• Document all maintenance and repair work on equipment.
• Provide feedback for continuous improvement in safety and efficiency.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
• Relevant advanced licenses for handling specialised machinery

Experience

• Experience with mining or construction projects is preferred

Technical Skills

• Hydraulics and pneumatics understanding

Soft Skills

• Team leadership

Certifications

• Crane Operator License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of safety regulations: Deep understanding of safety standards in construction and heavy machinery operations.
• Experience with maintenance scheduling: Experience in planning and executing equipment maintenance.
