Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Lemon Pickers to join our team at our organic citrus farm in Sydney. You will be instrumental in harvesting high-quality lemons and ensuring our orchard remains healthy and productive. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy outdoor work and are passionate about sustainable agriculture.

Responsibilities

• Collect lemons, ensuring minimal damage during the picking process.
• Sort lemons for quality, discarding any that do not meet standards.
• Participate in the preparation of the orchard for the next harvest season.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and order in the work area.
• Engage in outdoor maintenance tasks, such as irrigation management.
• Effectively communicate with the team to coordinate tasks.
• Adhere to farm policies regarding hygiene and safety.
• Support the farm supervisor in daily operations and reporting.
• Assist with training new staff on lemon picking techniques.
• Use machinery safely as required for orchard maintenance.

Requirements

Education

• No formal qualification required

Experience

• Experience in fruit picking is an advantage but not essential.

Technical Skills

• Lemon grading knowledge
• Pest management

• Attention to detail
• Time management

Languages

• English: Basic

Advantageous

• Ability to operate tractors: Experience in driving and managing farm machinery is a plus.
