Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Lathe and Turning Machine Tool Setter, Operator, and Tender to join our skilled team in Sydney. As a Bullard Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Bullard machine for precision cutting and shaping of materials. This role requires technical acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong understanding of mechanical principles.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Bullard machines for precision machining tasks.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Select and use appropriate tools and materials for each project.
  • Ensure high standards of safety and quality control during operations.
  • Identify and rectify operational bottlenecks to optimize productivity.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on finished products for compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with the quality assurance team to address any discrepancies.
  • Implement process improvements for better machining outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Assist in inventory management of tools and raw materials.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical degree in machining or relevant field is preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience operating turning machines or similar equipment
