Job Description

As a Metal-Refining Furnace Operator, you will play a vital role in the metal manufacturing industry. Your primary responsibility will include operating the furnace that melts scrap metal, ensuring quality and efficiency in the melting process.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality checks on the melted metal materials to ensure they meet specifications.
• Assist in the pouring and casting of molten metal into molds.
• Maintain accurate records of melting operations and materials used.
• Clean and maintain the furnace equipment and surrounding work area.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in furnace operation or related field.

Technical Skills

• Furnace Operation
• Forklift Operation

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Current forklift and crane licenses

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in metal fabrication or foundry work: Previous experience in a related field is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of metallurgy and metal properties: Knowledge of materials and their properties will be beneficial.
