Job Description

As a Child Support Officer, you will help uphold the rights of children by ensuring reliable financial support from parents. This role encompasses application processing, investigative work, and the ability to provide excellent customer service to families and stakeholders alike.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing and managing child support cases in compliance with legislation.
  • Investigating parents' financial circumstances to determine support payments.
  • Liaising with legal representatives to resolve child support matters.
  • Providing excellent customer service and support to all stakeholders.
  • Maintaining current and accurate records in internal systems.
  • Educating clients on their rights and responsibilities in child support.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure efficient case handling.
  • Reviewing and updating policies and processes as necessary.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in child support or family services preferred
Technical Skills
  • Data entry and management skills
  • Knowledge of legislation related to child support

  • Strong interpersonal skills
Certifications
  • First Aid Certification
Languages
  • English: Fluent
