Job Description
As a Forest and Conservation Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining forest health and sustainability. Ideal candidates should have experience in timber management, stakeholder engagement, and strong problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing sustainable forest management plans.
Evaluate the environmental impact of harvesting activities.
Participate in training programs for staff and stakeholders.
Prepare and present reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Implement initiatives for biodiversity conservation.
Work with local councils on forest management strategies.
Support the certification processes such as FSC or PEFC.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field
Master’s degree is an advantage or relevant experience
Experience
2+ years of experience in forestry or conservation roles preferred
