Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Language Interpreter to join our dynamic team. You will facilitate communication in various settings by providing accurate interpretation and translation services.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients and partners to ensure timely service delivery.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss case updates and best practices.
• Evaluate interpreting situations to determine the best approach for communication.
• Adapt to different interpreting environments and requirements.
• Support other team members and provide guidance where needed.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Translation or Interpreting

Experience

• Previous experience in health or legal interpreting is a bonus

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with online conferencing tools like Zoom

Soft Skills

• Cultural sensitivity
• Problem-solving skills

Certifications

• Advanced NAATI Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Spanish: Fluent

Advantageous

• Proficiency in additional languages: Ability to speak multiple languages beyond the required two.
• Experience in training new interpreters: Ability and willingness to mentor junior staff.
