Job Description

Join us as an Insurance Underwriter and bring your analytical expertise to the forefront. You’ll be responsible for evaluating insurance applications, determining risk levels, and recommending the right coverage solutions to meet client requirements effectively.

Responsibilities

• Review and underwrite new business submissions.
• Interpret and apply underwriting guidelines consistently.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior underwriters.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with agents and brokers.
• Contribute to strategic discussions about market trends and demand.
• Assist in the pricing strategy development based on market research.
• Work closely with actuaries to improve risk assessment models.
• Prepare for and participate in underwriting audits.
• Develop risk management strategies based on underwriting analysis.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding policy terms and conditions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Risk Management
• MBA or Master's in Finance is advantageous.

Experience

• 4-6 years of underwriting experience preferred

• Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU)
