Job Description

Join our dedicated team as a Counselor where your role will include conducting intake assessments, designing treatment plans, and facilitating both group and individual therapy sessions. You'll have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of those struggling with substance abuse.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments to determine client needs.
  • Implement and adjust treatment plans based on client feedback.
  • Facilitate educational sessions to inform clients about recovery processes.
  • Collaborate with social workers, psychiatrists, and medical teams.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations.
  • Participate in case reviews and contribute to team discussions.
  • Stay updated on the latest treatment techniques and research.
  • Cultivate a non-judgmental and empathetic approach toward clients.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field
  • Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work preferred
Experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including Indigenous or LGBTQ+ communities, is advantageous.
