Job Description

As a Jewelry Appraiser, you will evaluate the quality, materials, and market trends of various jewelry items. Your role will involve providing accurate appraisals for insurance purposes and estate planning, ensuring that clients receive reliable and trustworthy assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the quality, authenticity, and materials of jewelry items.
  • Generate detailed appraisal reports for various jewelry pieces.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on contemporary jewelry design.
  • Assist clients in understanding the appraisal process.
  • Collaborate with other appraisal experts for team evaluations.
  • Provide training to junior appraisers and sales staff as needed.
  • Handle confidential client information with discretion.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Graduate Gemologist (GG) qualification preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in appraising high-value jewelry items.
