Job Description

As a Pesticide Handler, Sprayer, and Applicator, you will play a crucial role in managing vegetation through effective control of weeds. Your expertise will ensure that our landscaping projects are delivered to the highest standards. Candidates should have a strong background in vegetation management, with a keen understanding of various control methods.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct weed assessments and implement tailored control strategies.
  • Utilize GIS mapping software for planning and tracking weed treatments.
  • Educate staff and clients on best practices for vegetation management.
  • Participate in training programs on pesticide application and safety.
  • Maintain compliance with local and national regulations regarding chemical use.
  • Engage with community groups for awareness initiatives on weed management.
  • Report on the health and condition of managed landscapes.
  • Provide feedback to the team on the results of treatment plans.
  • Assist with other landscape maintenance tasks as required.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate III in Chemical and Waste Management
  • Additional certifications in ecology or environmental science are advantageous
Experience
  • Experience with community engagement and educational programs is desirable.
