Biomass Plant Technician

Job Description

As a Biomass Plant Technician, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of biomass energy systems. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient functioning of plant equipment while contributing to our sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain central heating plant equipment efficiently.
• Ensure proper fuel and water levels within the systems.
• Maintain accurate records of daily plant performance.
• Adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines.
• Assist in the development of operational plans and procedures.
• Conduct training sessions for new and existing staff.
• Collaborate with management to implement process improvements.
• Participate in environmental audits and safety drills.

Requirements

Education

• Electrical or Controls Engineering qualifications are advantageous

Experience

• Experience with building management systems (BMS) is preferred

Technical Skills

• HVAC Systems Knowledge
• Problem Diagnosis

Soft Skills

• Time Management

Certifications

• First Aid Certification (preferred)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• HVAC Experience: Experience with HVAC systems will enhance your application.
• Proficiency in CMMS: Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems is a plus.
