Job Description

As a Family Intervention Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in supporting families experiencing crises. Your focus will be on identifying their needs and helping them develop intervention plans that enable them to address their challenges effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective strategies for family healing and growth.
• Support families in crisis through intervention and problem-solving strategies.
• Establish trusting relationships with clients to encourage openness and progress.
• Monitor family dynamics and modify intervention plans as necessary.
• Conduct follow-up sessions to ensure progress and address ongoing concerns.
• Engage in community outreach to promote services and resources available.
• Stay informed on best practices in family support and intervention.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field
• Registered with a professional counselling body

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience working with families in crisis

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with community resources: Knowledge of local services and programs available to families in need.
