Job Description

As a Woodworking Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender at Linderman Manufacturing, you'll play a critical role in our production team. Your responsibilities will include setting up, operating, and maintaining woodworking machines, ensuring they function optimally to meet production targets. You will collaborate closely with fellow operators and quality control staff to ensure our products adhere to stringent quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate woodworking machines and ensure optimal performance.
• Work with teammates to complete production goals efficiently.
• Assist in the design and implementation of new production techniques.
• Maintain accurate production logs and reports for management.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide feedback on machinery performance and suggest improvements.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Vocational training in woodworking preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or woodworking environment

Technical Skills

• Machine troubleshooting
• Quality inspection

Soft Skills

• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles: Experience implementing lean concepts in a woodworking environment.
• Cross-training in multiple machine operations: Ability to operate various types of woodworking machinery is a plus.
