Machine Long Goods Helper

Job Description

The Machine Long Goods Helper position involves assisting with the operation and maintenance of machinery used in the production of long goods such as pipes, tubes, and rods. You'll be responsible for ensuring machine efficiency and quality output, making sure everything runs smoothly in our busy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with machinery operators to refine production processes.
• Perform emergency shut down procedures in case of machine malfunction.
• Maintain accurate logs of machine operation and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
• Help train new staff members in machine operation basics.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Forklift operation
• Reading technical drawings

Soft Skills

• Time management
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Forklift License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Basic welding skills: Knowledge of basic welding techniques is a plus.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles: Understanding of lean principles for efficiency in production.
