Derrick Operator

Job Description

As a Derrick Operator at Maverick Drilling Services, you'll play a pivotal role in assisting the Driller in the entire drilling process while ensuring our equipment is running at peak efficiency. You'll work closely with your team to maintain the drilling rig and monitor operations to ensure a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the drilling crew and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of drilling machinery.
• Assist in training new crew members on safety and operations.
• Monitor drilling parameters and report any abnormalities.
• Prepare daily reports on drilling operations and performance.
• Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the drilling site and equipment.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• 3+ years of field experience in oil and gas operations

Technical Skills

• Hydraulic Systems Knowledge
• Safety Compliance

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Advanced Drilling Techniques Certification
• First Aid and CPR Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
