Job Description

As an Avionics Technician, you will be pivotal in ensuring the operational readiness of various avionics systems. Your expertise will play a critical role in maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting complex electronic systems on a variety of aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Perform system inspections and calibrations on avionics equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records of all repairs and installations.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to enhance system performance.
  • Develop and improve maintenance processes to increase efficiency.
  • Monitor compliance with safety practices and regulations.
  • Assist in training junior technicians as needed.

Requirements

Education
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)
  • Additional relevant certifications are a plus
Experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with avionics systems
  • Ability to read technical manuals
Soft Skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Attention to safety

Advantageous

  • Experience with GPS or weather radar systems: Knowledge and experience with specific avionics systems.
  • Experience in military aviation systems: Experience in maintenance roles within military settings.
  • Experience in designing avionics modifications: Hands-on experience with avionics systems enhancements.
