Job Description

We are on the lookout for a highly skilled Stiffener to join our engineering team in Sydney. This role involves ensuring the structural integrity of various constructions, working closely with architects and engineers. Ideal candidates will possess strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and a solid track record in assessing and enhancing structural designs. You will be responsible for inspecting building components, identifying weaknesses, and collaborating with various stakeholders to maintain compliance with engineering standards.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate structural components to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to address design-related queries.
  • Document findings and recommendations from inspections.
  • Support the structural design process with analytical input.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies to facilitate compliance.
  • Assess the impacts of modifications on structural integrity.
  • Lead investigations into structural failures and provide solutions.
  • Work with construction teams to ensure correct installation of components.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry advancements and practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Professional certification in structural engineering is highly desirable
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering or a similar role
