Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic Gold Coast team. In this role, you will be tasked with designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and components. The ideal candidate will be proficient in CAD software and have a strong understanding of engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development activities from concept to prototype.
• Manage project schedules and deliverables effectively.
• Ensure integrity and quality of designs through thorough testing and validation.
• Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility of designs.
• Compile and analyse project data to inform future engineering tasks.
• Support the design and implementation of production systems.
• Facilitate communication between engineering and other departments.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles

Technical Skills

• 3D Modelling
• Thermodynamics

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation Skills

Certifications

• MEP Design Certification
• Lean Manufacturing Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Industry Standards (AS/NZS): Experience with Australian standards in mechanical design.
• Experience with CNC Machining: Hands-on experience with CNC machinery and processes.
