Job Description

As a Distribution Operation Supervisor (SDO), you will play a pivotal role in managing our distribution activities. Your core responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day operations, optimising productivity, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. With your leadership skills, you will train and develop a team that thrives on efficiency and collaboration, while strategically implementing initiatives to improve our distribution process.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily distribution activities ensuring smooth operations.
  • Implement best practices in warehouse management and logistics.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the distribution team.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Work with management to develop operational budgets.
  • Assist in inventory management and control strategies.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and partners.
  • Analyse distribution metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Report to upper management on distribution performance and issues.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in distribution operations or a related field, preferably in a supervisory role.
Technical Skills
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Microsoft Excel
