Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical and Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform routine and complex laboratory tests. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills to interpret results accurately, maintain laboratory equipment, and adhere to safety protocols to ensure a high standard of service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests on patient samples and evaluate results for clinical significance.
• Participate in quality control and assurance protocols to uphold laboratory standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines within the laboratory.
• Document findings and assist in preparing reports for healthcare providers.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities.
• Provide support during audits and inspections from regulatory bodies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
• Registered with the Medical Board of Australia

Experience

• Experience with quality assurance and improvement programs

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures
• Ability to interpret and analyze laboratory results
• Strong computer skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
