As a Mining Engineer based in Mount Isa, you will oversee mining processes and ensure the application of industry best practices. Your role involves working closely with geologists and site teams to evaluate and improve mining methods. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining safety and efficiency across all operations.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee mining operations ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies to optimise resource extraction.
• Collaborate closely with geologists and environmental teams.
• Develop mining plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Monitor and report on operational performance and suggest improvements.
• Implement and manage environmental conservation strategies.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Provide technical guidance and support to site personnel.
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Participate in training programs for operational staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

• 3+ years of experience in mining engineering
