Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and creative Art Therapist to develop and implement art therapy programs that address the emotional and psychological needs of patients in our hospice care. Bring your artistic flair and therapeutic skills to support families during their most challenging moments.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement art therapy interventions that cater to both individual and group settings.
  • Conduct evaluations to determine patient needs and preferences for therapeutic activities.
  • Support patients in exploring their emotions through various art forms, including painting, drawing, and collage.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients and their families.
  • Engage in team discussions to improve therapeutic approaches and patient outcomes.
  • Document and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy programs and make necessary adjustments.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Art Therapy or related field
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline is an advantage
Experience
  • At least 2 years of direct experience in art therapy focusing on patients in palliative care or hospice settings.
