Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Truss Maker to join our production team in Adelaide. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating timber trusses by interpreting technical drawings and using precision tools to ensure quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings to fabricate timber trusses to exact specifications.
• Cut and shape timber using various tools and equipment.
• Join timber components effectively to assemble trusses.
• Check completed trusses for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain tools and equipment for optimal performance.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
• Contribute to team efforts to achieve production goals.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate III in Carpentry or relevant trade qualification

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years experience in carpentry or a related field

Technical Skills

• Hand Tool Proficiency
• Power Tool Operation
• Technical Drawing Interpretation

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Forklift Certification: Ability to operate a forklift or other heavy machinery is highly desirable.
• CAD Software Experience: Experience in using CAD software to design truss components.
