We are seeking a Hide Grader to join our team in Perth. The successful candidate will be responsible for grading hides based on quality standards and ensuring they are processed accurately for leather production.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and grade raw hides based on strict quality control processes.
Identify defects or imperfections within hides and take necessary actions.
Record dimensions and weights of hides accurately.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure correct grading and sorting.
Implement and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality grading.
Maintain and keep the workspace organised and tidy.
Participate in quality assurance audits and contribute to improvement plans.
Work collaboratively with the leather production team to ensure seamless workflow.
Requirements
Education
Relevant vocational qualifications are an advantage.
Experience
Prior experience in leather production is a plus.
