As a Geomorphologist, you will undertake detailed studies of the earth's surface to assess its characteristics and how they interact with both natural phenomena and human activities. You will be conducting fieldwork, utilizing advanced software for modeling, and providing actionable insights to mitigate land use risks.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct geological surveys and analyze geological formations.
  • Use advanced statistical and mapping software (e.g., ArcGIS) to process data.
  • Prepare presentations to communicate findings to clients and stakeholders.
  • Engage in fieldwork in remote or challenging environments as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide expert opinions on the impact of human activities on the environment.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on complex environmental projects.
  • Document all phases of research and analysis for future reference.
  • Assist in securing funding for environmental projects and research initiatives.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Physical Geography, or a related field
  • Postgraduate degree in Geomorphology or a related field (desirable)
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Expertise in using GIS for spatial data analysis.
  • Data Analysis Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data interpretation.
  • Field Surveying Experience in conducting field surveys and geological assessments.
  • Communication Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Teamwork Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Problem-Solving Capable of identifying complex issues and developing practical solutions.
  • English (Fluent)
  • Mandarin (Basic)
Advantageous
  • Experience with civil or mining projects: Hands-on experience in conducting surveys and assessments related to civil or mining projects.
  • Strong research and publication record: Experience in contributing to significant research papers and publications related to geomorphology.
