Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operating Engineer with expertise in steam shovels to join our dedicated team. As a Steam Shovel Runner, you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy machinery used in various construction and mining tasks.

Responsibilities

• Utilize steam-powered shovels effectively for moving soil and materials.
• Collaborate with site supervisors to ensure job requirements are met.
• Keep detailed records of machinery operations and maintenance.
• Follow up on all safety measures to prevent accidents.
• Support other crew members as required for efficiency in operations.
• Maintain tooling and machinery in a clean and operational state.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in heavy equipment operations preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in operating heavy machinery with a focus on steam-powered equipment.
