Job Description

As a Geological Technician, you will monitor and analyze oil exploration activities, ensuring safety and environmental compliance. Your expertise will support our exploration projects, contributing to the discovery of new reserves and optimising extraction methods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical analyses of water samples to assess quality.
  • Utilize laboratory equipment and techniques to ensure accurate readings.
  • Prepare detailed reports on findings, along with recommendations.
  • Conduct fieldwork to collect water samples in various locations.
  • Collaborate with environmental scientists for holistic project execution.
  • Participate in community outreach programs related to water conservation.
  • Assist in developing water safety protocols and standards.
  • Keep up with legislative changes relevant to water quality management.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as needed.
  • Engage in continuous learning regarding new water quality regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications in water quality testing are preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in water quality monitoring and testing.
