Job Description

As an Animal Control Licensing Worker, you will play a crucial role in enforcing animal control laws and ensuring compliance across the community. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, responding to public complaints, and issuing licenses. Your efforts will directly contribute to promoting public safety and responsible pet ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with local animal control ordinances and laws.
  • Provide guidance and support to pet owners regarding licensing and care requirements.
  • Investigate reports of animal cruelty or neglect.
  • Work with veterinarians and shelters to manage animal impoundments.
  • Participate in public outreach and education events on animal safety.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record keeping for licensing and animal impoundment.
  • Liaise with law enforcement on animal-related incidents as required.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
  • Experience in a role that involves community outreach or public service is beneficial.
