Job Description

As an Aquarist, you will ensure the health and safety of marine life through daily care activities, including feeding, habitat maintenance, and exhibit design. Collaborate with our team to develop educational programs and enhance our visitor's experience.

Responsibilities

  • Feed and monitor the health of aquatic animals, including fish, turtles, and marine mammals.
  • Conduct regular water quality tests to ensure optimal conditions for aquatic life.
  • Clean tanks, filters, and related equipment to maintain sanitation and hygiene.
  • Design and maintain the aesthetics of aquarium exhibits.
  • Assist in developing and implementing animal care programs and educational displays.
  • Record data on animal behavior and health through regular observations.
  • Collaborate with veterinary staff for medical treatments and administer medications as required.
  • Train animals for educational presentations and public interactions.
  • Participate in breeding and conservation programs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in aquatic animal care.
  • Engage with visitors to share knowledge and enhance their experience.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Science, Aquaculture, or a related field
Experience
  • Prior experience working in an aquarium or marine park setting is highly desirable.
