Job Description

The Middle Market Underwriter will evaluate and underwrite insurance policies for medium-sized businesses in various sectors. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding analytical capabilities and a keen attention to detail, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments for insurance applications from medium-sized businesses.
• Determine coverage and pricing based on risk evaluation.
• Review and evaluate insurance claims and provide recommendations.
• Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Work with other teams to ensure timely service delivery.
• Engage in ongoing training to refine underwriting skills.
• Assist in developing new insurance products and services.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification in underwriting (e.g. ANZIIF, NIBA) is a plus

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting or a related field
