Job Description

As a Zoologist or Wildlife Biologist, you will engage in comprehensive studies of animal behaviour to contribute to a deeper understanding of their mental processes and social interactions. This role requires you to work in a variety of environments including wildlife reserves and laboratories, where your insights will directly influence conservation efforts and animal welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor wildlife populations and document changes in behaviour related to environmental factors.
  • Develop innovative research methods to enhance the study of animal interactions.
  • Work closely with environmental agencies to align research with conservation goals.
  • Present research findings at conferences and workshops.
  • Lead training sessions for research assistants and interns.
  • Contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts to support research initiatives.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Zoology, or a related field
  • Master's or PhD in Ethology is preferred

  • 2-5 years of field research or animal behaviour studies
