Job Description
Seeking experienced Public Safety Telecommunicators to manage emergency communications. In this role, you will respond to calls, dispatch assistance, and coordinate with emergency services.
Responsibilities
Respond to and prioritize emergency calls based on severity.
Deliver critical information to emergency responders.
Document all communications and ensure clarity.
Monitor system and equipment functionality, reporting issues.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations.
Stay up-to-date with protocols and procedures.
Engage in community outreach about public safety initiatives.
Assist in developing communication strategies for crisis situations.
Provide mental health support to distressed callers when appropriate.
Requirements
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent
Certification in Emergency Communications is a plus
Experience
1-3 years of experience in emergency communications or related field
