Job Description

As the Industrial Relations Director, you will spearhead the organization's employee relations strategy, ensuring that all practices align with existing workplace laws and foster a collaborative culture. You will partner with senior leadership to develop comprehensive policies and provide expert guidance on industrial relations matters.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive industrial relations strategies that comply with workplace regulations.
  • Advise senior leadership on legislative changes and their organizational impact.
  • Facilitate negotiations with unions and employee representatives.
  • Manage the resolution of workplace conflicts and employee grievances.
  • Ensure adherence to all industrial relations agreements and regulations.
  • Provide support and training to HR personnel regarding industrial relations.
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders to promote positive worker relations.
  • Conduct regular audits of company practices against industrial relations standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports for stakeholders regarding employee relations trends and strategies.
  • Mentor and guide the industrial relations team in best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or Law
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Industrial Relations are advantageous.
Experience
  • Extensive experience in managing workplace relations in a unionised environment.
