Job Description

As a Hog Trader, you will play a crucial role in the agriculture sector by buying and selling hogs on behalf of our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the hog production industry, allowing them to effectively negotiate with farmers, processors, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze market data to pinpoint potential trading opportunities.
• Effectively negotiate hog prices and manage supplier relationships.
• Advise clients on market conditions and provide insights on trade executions.
• Conduct regular reviews of client portfolios to maximize profitability.
• Work closely with the trading team to synchronize strategies and share insights.
• Document and report all trades and transactions to ensure transparency.
• Stay compliant with agricultural trading regulations and policies.
• Engage with industry suppliers and stakeholders to foster strong working relationships.

Advantageous

• Financial Derivatives Experience: Experience in trading financial derivatives can be advantageous.
• Familiarity with Australian Hog Futures: Experience with the Australian Hog Futures contract is preferred.
