Job Description

As a Substance Abuse and Behavioral Disorder Counselor, you'll work closely with clients to identify and modify negative behaviors and thought patterns. Your role is crucial in providing evidence-based interventions that promote recovery and personal growth.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments and diagnostic interviews.
  • Design and oversee treatment plans based on clients' unique circumstances.
  • Lead support groups and workshops to foster group healing.
  • Evaluate and analyze client progress regularly.
  • Work alongside family members to enhance support systems for clients.
  • Advocate for client needs throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Engage in team meetings to discuss client status and care strategies.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline
  • Certified Mental Health Professional is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years working in a substance abuse treatment facility
