Job Description

As a Tamping Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining tamping machines on railway tracks, ensuring they are in safe and efficient condition. Collaborating closely with the Track Maintenance Crew, you will play a vital role in railway maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain tamping machines for rail track stability.
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on equipment.
  • Coordinate with the Track Maintenance Team for assignments.
  • Document daily activities and track maintenance performed.
  • Follow strict safety protocols during operations.
  • Assist in the setup and disassembly of machinery at job sites.
  • Promote a culture of safety and teamwork on site.
  • Adapt to changing work environments and schedules.

Requirements

Education
  • High School Certificate
Experience
  • Experience in rail maintenance operations is an advantage
