Underground Mining Machine Operator

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Underground Mining Machine Operator to join our dedicated team in Perth. The operator will be tasked with ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our underground mining machinery, contributing directly to our production goals.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently operate machinery for mineral extraction in underground mines.
• Monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments.
• Conduct safety checks and compliance assessments of mining activities.
• Assist in the implementation of safety and environmental procedures.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule equipment repairs.
• Document production data and write reports for management.
• Provide feedback to management on equipment performance and needed improvements.
• Support a culture of safety and accountability within the mining team.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss production goals.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certificate in Mining Operations is an asset

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar mining roles.
