Probation Officers and Correctional Treatment Specialists

Job Description

We're seeking motivated Probation Officers and Correctional Treatment Specialists to join our team in Melbourne. In this role, you will work closely with individuals on probation or parole, ensuring compliance with their conditions and providing rehabilitation support to facilitate successful reintegration into society.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise offenders to ensure adherence to their rehabilitation plans.
• Conduct interviews and assessments to determine the client's needs and strengths.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide guidance and support to help clients overcome barriers to successful reintegration.
• Document all client interactions and changes in status in case management systems.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives to promote rehabilitation programs.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and uphold ethical standards.
• Prepare and present reports detailing the progress and challenges faced by clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Criminal Justice
• Master's degree in a related field is advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in corrections or a related social services role
