Ripening Room Attendant

Job Description

The Ripening Room Attendant is key in managing the ripening room environment effectively to ensure optimal produce quality. You will monitor and control environmental conditions, maintain produce quality, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Control the ripening environment to optimize fruit quality.
• Assess and adjust humidity and temperature settings as needed.
• Conduct quality assessments on produce and report discrepancies.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure timely delivery.
• Document all processes and maintain records accurately.
• Train new staff on equipment use and safety procedures.
• Implement improvements to the ripening process based on best practices.
• Collaborate with supervisors to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in agricultural industries preferred

Experience

• 2+ years in similar roles within agriculture or horticulture

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Record Keeping Systems

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
