Switch Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Switch Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing telecommunications switches, ensuring optimal performance of our network systems. You will play a crucial role in troubleshooting issues and collaborating with other technicians to create seamless communication solutions for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment.
• Monitor and review network performance metrics.
• Assist in the development of emergency response procedures.
• Prepare reports on switch performance and incidents.
• Manage inventory of switch-related components and tools.
• Engage with clients to understand their telecommunication needs.
• Implement best practices for network security and reliability.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Electronics or Networking

Experience

• 3-5 years in telecommunications or a similar field.

Technical Skills

• ISP Management Tools
• Network Security Practices

• Analytical Skills

Certifications

• CompTIA Network+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Additional certifications in networking: Holding additional relevant certifications will be considered a plus.
