Job Description

The Rent and Housing Investigator will be responsible for investigating complaints and disputes related to renting and housing in Australia. This role requires exceptional investigation and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect rental properties to assess compliance with local laws.
  • Prepare and submit investigation findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing training materials for landlords and tenants.
  • Monitor industry trends to keep informed on legislative changes.
  • Conduct public outreach to educate the community on housing laws.
  • Build positive relationships with community members and organizations.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives within the Compliance Team.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Criminology, or related field
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in property management or compliance.
Technical Skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
Soft Skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Conflict resolution and mediation skills

Languages
