Food Order Expediter

Job Description

Join our team as a Food Order Expediter, where you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations in our food delivery services. You’ll be the primary link between the kitchen and the waitstaff, playing a key role in delivering a memorable dining experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritise food orders for timely preparation and delivery.
• Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure all necessary ingredients and supplies are available.
• Collaborate with waitstaff to relay order status and any special requests or modifications.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of food orders before they are handed off for delivery.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of orders, including changes or customer preferences.
• Assist in the training of new kitchen and waitstaff on order processing procedures.
• Report any kitchen supply shortages or equipment issues to the relevant supervisors.
• Monitor the performance of food deliveries to identify any areas for improvement.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred

Technical Skills

• Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Order management software

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a high-volume restaurant: Familiarity with fast-paced food service environments.
