Job Description

As a Cooling and Freezing Equipment Operator at ABC Creamery, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and freshness of our ice cream products. You'll be responsible for operating and maintaining cooling and freezing equipment, monitoring temperatures, and handling inventory in our state-of-the-art facility. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and log temperature and environmental conditions of storage equipment.
• Perform quality checks on incoming ice cream shipments.
• Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of products in storage.
• Collaborate with the shipping department to prepare orders for distribution.
• Adhere strictly to food safety protocols to maintain product integrity.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment promptly.
• Support the production team during busy periods as needed.
• Assist in training new staff on equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Help implement new processes for efficiency improvements.
• Engage actively in workplace safety initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food Handling Certificate or related qualification is preferred

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in food production or warehouse operations

Technical Skills

• Machinery troubleshooting
• Food safety practices

Soft Skills

• Strong work ethic
• Communication skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with HACCP standards: Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) in food safety.
• Ability to operate warehouse management systems: Experience with systems that optimize warehouse operations.
