Surgical Pathologist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Surgical Pathologist to join our team at a leading medical institution. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and interpreting tissue specimens for cancer and other diseases, and collaborating with other medical professionals.

Responsibilities

• Implement advanced diagnostic techniques, including immunohistochemistry and molecular pathology.
• Engage in research projects related to pathology and diagnostics.
• Develop and improve laboratory protocols and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in the accreditation process and maintain laboratory standards.

Requirements

Education

• MD or DO
• Board certification in Pathology preferred

Experience

• 5 years or more of experience in surgical pathology

• Critical thinking
• Laboratory management

• Interpersonal skills
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Fellowship in Surgical Pathology (if applicable)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Quality assurance experience: Experience in maintaining quality control in laboratory testing.
• Publication record: A record of published research in the field is advantageous.
